79-Year-Old Jiankang Huang Killed in East Oakland, CA Accident

Elderly man struck by freight train early Wednesday.

A tragic accident occurred on November 19 in East Oakland, CA, when Jiankang Huang, 79, was struck by a Union Pacific freight train near 60th Avenue and San Leandro Street. Officials said Huang had been reported missing a day earlier from a San Leandro senior housing complex. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
