Fatal Motorcycle Crash Near Chewelah

A tragic accident occurred on October 9 in Chewelah, Washington, when 76-year-old Gloria Venters was killed. Around 3:30 p.m., her southbound motorcycle on Highway 395 was struck by a Jeep Patriot driven by Ida Hildebrand, 52, who swerved while passing another car. Another rider also died. Hildebrand faces vehicular homicide charges involving drugs or alcohol. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim’s family.
