76-Year-Old Ernie William Olson Killed in Guadalupe County, TX Acciden

Driver charged after rear-end crash

A tragic accident occurred on January 1 in Guadalupe County, Texas, when 76-year-old Ernie William Olson was killed after his vehicle was rear-ended while stopped at a red light on State Highway 123 near Navarro Ranch Road around 10 a.m. A passenger in Olson’s car and another woman in the pickup were injured. Police arrested 36-year-old Travis Wade Walden, charging him with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault. The crash remains under investigation.
