76-Year-Old Dianne French Killed In West Moreland, NY Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on March 31st in West Moreland, New York. 76-year-old Dianne French was tragically killed after being struck by a GMC pick up truck on Route 233. Paul R. Down was operating the GMC when he observed French crossing the travel lane. Down attempted to swerve, but was unable to avoid hitting French. Sadly, French, was pronounced dead at the scene. After the crash, Down was tested by a State Police Drug Recognition Expert. New York State Police continue to investigate the wreck. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
