A tragic accident occurred on April 16 in Oceanside, California, when 76-year-old Gregory Newton Means was struck while crossing Mission Avenue near Mesa Drive. Authorities said the driver fled the scene but was later located and taken into custody. Means was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
