75-Year-Old Juan Santos Castro Killed in Austin, TX Accident

Struck on northbound Bastrop Highway in the 1100 block

A tragic accident occurred on February 2 in Austin, Texas, when 75-year-old Juan Santos Castro was struck by a vehicle in the northbound lanes of Bastrop Highway around 2:16 p.m. Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver remained at the scene and was not impaired. Authorities continue to investigate. We extend our thoughts and prayers to the victim’s family.
