A tragic accident occurred on August 27 in Orange, California, when 74-year-old Gregory John Beckmann was fatally struck by a sheriff’s patrol SUV. The crash happened at about 10:20 p.m. on East Chapman Avenue near Saddleback Plaza. Authorities said Beckmann was crossing southbound when he was hit. Orange police and the Sheriff’s Department are investigating. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
