A tragic accident occurred on February 1 in Oakland, California, when 72-year-old Billy Grant was fatally struck by a vehicle in the 6000 block of Claremont Avenue near College Avenue. Grant was hit around 6:29 p.m. by a car driven by a 21-year-old Berkeley woman and later died at a hospital. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
