72-Year-Old Beverly Doak Grimes Killed in Plano, TX Accident

Woman struck and killed while attempting to retrieve dog on Parkwood Boulevard

A tragic accident occurred on April 27 in Plano, Texas, when 72-year-old Beverly Doak Grimes was struck by a northbound Subaru Crosstrek in the 3300 block of Parkwood Boulevard. Authorities said she was trying to retrieve her dog from the roadway at the time of the crash. Grimes was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
