71-Year-Old Mark Scott Injured In Erwin, NY Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on September 24 in Erwin, New York. 71-year-old Mark Scott was seriously injured in a multivehicle accident when a wrong way driver struck multiple vehicles on Interstate 99 near exit 8. 73-year-old Patricia Charwat began driving southbound, against the flow of traffic, when she struck the victim's vehicle head on. Scott was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.  The crash remains under investigation and no other information has been made available at this time.
