Ms. Jenkins was in the median of the interstate after their car had become disabled and were walking across the westbound lanes when they were struck. Sadly, they were both pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
