69-Year-Old Rose Smart Injured In Sabine, TX Accident

Two vehicle collision on Highway 96

Tragic accident that occurred on April 15th in Sabine, Texas. 69-year-old Rose Smart was one of four people injured after two vehicles collided on U.S. Highway 96. Initial reports suggest a 2021 Chevrolet SUV was traveling south when the driver failed to control speed and struck the rear of a 2015 GMC pickup that had slowed down to make a left turn into a private drive. Smart was a passenger in the SUV and was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital with unspecified injuries. No other details about the collision have been released.
