69-Year-Old Pamela Kooyman Injured In Martinsville TWP, IL Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, June 24 in Martinsville Township, Illinois. 69-year-old Pamela Kooyman was one of two people seriously injured in a wreck on Interstate 70 at mile post 137. The crash occurred when a Subaru with a U-Haul trailer was struck from behind by a Freightliner Truck Tractor Semi Trailer that failed to reduce his speed. The Subaru then left the roadway and traveled into the center median. The driver of the Freightliner was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
