69-Year-Old Rachel Hoffman Killed in Atascadero, CA Accident

Pedestrian struck while crossing Highway 101 on-ramp

A tragic accident occurred on December 1 in Atascadero, California, when 69-year-old Rachel Hoffman was struck by a Ford F-150 while crossing a Highway 101 on-ramp on San Anselmo Road around 10:20 a.m. Hoffman was walking within the crosswalk when the pickup, driven by a 66-year-old man, made a left turn and hit her. Tragically, she died at the scene. Authorities reported no signs of impairment. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
