68-Year-Old James Simpkins Killed In Clay, AL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on December 17 in Clay, Alabama. 68-year-old James Simpkins was killed when his vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer on Alabama Highway 9. Troopers said a 2003 Lincoln Town Car collided head-on with a 2016 Freightliner tractor-trailer. Simpkins died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. ALEA's Highway Patrol Division is investigating the accident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
