Estes was riding a black Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on Farrell Street, while a white Dodge Dakota pickup truck was traveling westbound. As the pickup attempted a left turn, it struck Estes’ motorcycle, ejecting him. Estes succumbed to his injuries at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center. The 55-year-old female driver of the pickup remained at the scene.
