A 2-year-old Omaha, Nebraska child died after being struck in the parking lot of the Kum & Go gas station. 67-year-old Rebecca Wood of Walnut was entering the gas station on 298th Street when her Chevrolet Equinox struck the child. The toddler was rushed to the University of Nebraska Medical Center but was pronounced dead there. Wood remained at the scene to cooperate with police.
