A tragic accident occurred on March 3 in Palm Desert, California, when 66-year-old Shannon Daly of Mill Creek was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Portola Avenue and Retreat Circle around 7:40 a.m. Daly was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries. Authorities said the driver remained at the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
