66-Year-Old Sara Fernandez Killed In Wellford, SC Accident

DUI wreck on Nazareth Road

Tragic accident that occurred on Friday, December 24th in Wellford, South Carolina. 66-year-old Sara Ann Fernandez was tragically killed in a two-vehicle accident caused by a suspected drunk driver on Nazareth Road near Spartan Exchange Road. The crash occurred when Lyndsay Stanton crossed the center lane and struck Fernandez's vehicle head-on. Sadly, Fernandez was pronounced dead at the scene. Stanton was charged with felony DUI with death, troopers said.  We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
