66-Year-Old Joe Williams Involved In Kansas City, MO Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on May 18 in Kansas City, Missouri. The Independence Police Department says an officer stopped a Chevrolet Z71 pickup truck in the area of 20th Street and Northern Boulevard for a traffic infraction. That is when 66-year-old Joe W. Williams left the scene, triggering a pursuit that ended near 31st Street and Wabash Avenue when the pickup crashed into an Audi Q5 and a Kia Sportage. After impact, the pickup left the roadway, crashed through an iron fence, and slammed into a tree. Two people traveling in the Kia were injured in the wreck and taken to an area hospital for treatment. The incident remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
