Two die, two injured after pickups collide head-on on Route 78

A tragic accident occurred on April 4 near Julian, California, when 66-year-old Jesus Canales Lopez and 72-year-old Mark Gerald Vaugh Straass were killed after two pickup trucks traveling in opposite directions collided head-on on State Route 78 near Mastros Trailer Park Road. Two other individuals were airlifted to a hospital for treatment. Authorities continue investigating the crash. We send our thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims.
