A tragic accident occurred on December 7 in Salinas, California, when 65-year-old Carmen Nava was fatally struck while crossing Main Street near Hardin Parkway around 6 p.m. Reports say she was leaving Teriyaki Madness when a vehicle hit her, throwing her several feet. Nava was taken to a hospital, where she later died. She worked at Washington Middle School and planned to retire this month. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
