64-Year-Old Sonia Montes Killed in San Patricio County, TX Accident

Woman dies in two-vehicle collision at stop sign

A tragic accident occurred on July 18 in San Patricio County, Texas, when 64-year-old Sonia Montes was a passenger in a Jeep Grand Cherokee involved in a collision at U.S. 77 and State Highway 89. Authorities said the Jeep struck a Toyota Tundra after allegedly failing to yield at a stop sign. Sonia was pronounced dead at the scene. One of another victims, Sallie Montes, also died.
