Woman dies after being struck on North Lamar Boulevard

A tragic accident occurred on August 9 in Austin, Texas, when 64-year-old Margaret Govea was killed in a pedestrian accident. According to the Austin Police Department, Govea was struck around 11:18 p.m. in the 8500 block of North Lamar Boulevard near Thurmond Street. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver stopped and is cooperating with investigators. The investigation remains ongoing. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
