64-Year-Old Manfred Schmidt Killed In Sangamon, IL Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on March 30 in Sangamon, Illinois. 64-year-old Manfred Schmidt was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was driving was struck by an SUV at Curran Road and Mansion Road. A GMC Acadia entered the intersection and collided with the motorcycle. Schmidt was rushed to a local hospital where he sadly succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.  The incident remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
