64-Year-Old Jose Benitez Killed In Vanderbilt, TX AccidentThe crash remains under investigationPosted: 2 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on March 27th in Vanderbilt, Texas. 64-year-old Jose Benitez sadly died when his car was struck head-on by another driver on Farm-to-Market Road 616. Benitez was traveling west when he was struck by an Acura driven by a 28-year-old man. The DPS said that the 28-year-old drifted into the westbound lane following a significant curve, striking Benitez’s Oldsmobile Intrigue head-on. The Oldsmobile came to a rest on the side of the road and became engulfed in flames. Sadly, Benitez was pronounced dead at the scene. The collision remains under investigation by the DPS.
