A tragic accident occurred on September 4 in Yucca Valley, California, when 64-year-old Leon Dowd was struck by a vehicle while bicycling near Joshua Lane and Pueblo Trail. The crash happened around 12:50 p.m. Dowd was rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he sadly died from his injuries. Authorities said the case remains under investigation.
