63-Year-Old Tamara Cates Killed in Midland, TX Accident

Tragic collision Feb. 6 along Business 20 Service Road

A tragic accident occurred on February 6 in Midland, Texas, when 63-year-old Tamara Jan Cates was fatally struck while riding an electric bicycle east on Business 20 Service Road near County Road 1103. She was hit from behind by an eastbound tractor-trailer around 7:35 p.m. and pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was unharmed. Authorities continue to investigate.
