63-Year-Old Mark Cowles Killed in Chelan, WA Accident

Passenger Dies in Highway 97A Head-On Crash

A tragic accident occurred on December 6 in Chelan County, Washington, when 63-year-old Mark Cowles of Entiat was killed in a head-on collision on Highway 97A. According to the Washington State Patrol, a southbound Ford Ranger crossed the centerline around 7:12 a.m. and struck a Cascade School District bus, causing both vehicles to overturn. Cowles, a passenger in the pickup, died at the scene. Two others were hospitalized. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
