63-Year-Old Joel Perez Killed in Brooks County, TX Accident

Collision with Disabled Forklift

A tragic accident occurred on November 18 in Brooks County, Texas, when 63-year-old Joel Perez was killed after his 2021 Toyota Corolla collided head-on with a disabled forklift on Farm to Market Road 430 near County Road 315. Troopers said Perez changed lanes around 6:53 a.m. due to heavy dust before striking the forklift, which had stopped because of mechanical issues. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are investigating. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
