62-Year-Old Vance Shirkey Injured In Jefferson Township, OH Accident

Collision on State Route 29

Tragic accident that occurred on August 12th in Jefferson Township, Ohio. 62-year-old Vance L. Shirkey was seriously injured when the Freightliner truck that he was operating was struck by a pickup truck on State Route 29. The State Patrol said that the pickup failed to merge into the left lane as indicated by directional arrow boards prior to the road striping operation and struck the rear of Shirkey’s truck. Shirkey was transported to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment of his injuries.  We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
