62-Year-Old Ernesto Castro Killed In Sumter, AL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Sunday, April 25 at around 8:30 PM in Sumter, Alabama. 62-year-old Ernesto Castro was tragically killed when he  were struck by a Toyota Camry on US highway 80 near mile post 21. Mr. Castro was behind the wheel of a Freightliner tractor trailer that was struck by 56-year-old Gale Lewis.  Both Mr. Castro and his passenger were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. No other information has been made available, however the accident does remain under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
