62-Year-Old Emiliano Yanez Killed In Kenansville, NC Accident

U-Haul accident on Highway 11

Tragic accident that occurred on Saturday, February 20 at about 10:11 AM in Kenansville, North Carolina. 62-year-old Emiliano Yanez was sadly killed when the Equinox that he was operating was struck by a U-Haul that lost control on Highway 11. 75-year-old Charlotte Gross, who was driving a U-Haul, went off the road to the right, struck a bridge guard rail, and then one left of center. The U-Haul then collided with the Equinox, and both Yanez and his passenger, 45-year-old Manuel Gonzalez, were sadly killed in the wreck. Gross was charged with two counts of misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. We send our thoughts and prayers to the families of the victims
