61-Year-Old Sharon Llanes Killed in Wharton, TX Accident

Pedestrian struck on East Boling Highway

A tragic accident occurred on November 8 in Wharton, Texas, when 61-year-old Sharon Llanes was struck by a vehicle in the 500 block of East Boling Highway shortly before 11 p.m. Llanes was pronounced dead at the scene. The 40-year-old driver called 911, remained at the location, and showed no signs of intoxication during testing. She was released pending toxicology results.
