61-Year-Old Jose Vargas Killed In Bakersfield, CA Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on October 19 in Bakersfield, California. 61-year-old Jose Luis De Le Torres Vargas died after being hit by a driver accused of running a red light at the intersection of District Boulevard and Ashe Road. The red-light runner lost control of the vehicle after hitting a vehicle and then struck a pedestrian on the northeast corner of the intersection. Investigation into the tragic incident is underway, and anyone with information on the case was urged to call the Bakersfield Police Department’s Traffic Division at 661-326-3882 or call 661-327-7111.
