A tragic accident occurred on December 28 in Boyle Heights, California, when a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck claimed the life of 60-year-old Miriam Marroquin. Authorities said the semi-truck lost control on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway near Fourth Street around 5:10 a.m., striking several vehicles and triggering a chain-reaction crash. Marroquin died from her injuries, while multiple others were hospitalized. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
