59-Year-Old Thomas Ramos Killed in Jim Wells County, TX Accident

Passenger ejected after truck overturns on State Highway 44

A tragic accident occurred on December 29 in Jim Wells County, Texas, when 59-year-old Thomas Ramos, of Alice, was killed in a semi-truck crash just after midnight. DPS said the eastbound Peterbilt truck struck standing water, causing the driver to lose control and overturn in the westbound lanes. Ramos, a passenger, was ejected and died at the scene. The 34-year-old driver was hospitalized. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
