Man dies in hit-and-run crash involving tractor-trailer on I-80

A tragic accident occurred on June 2 in Placer County, California, when 57-year-old Michael Fiscus was driving a Ford F-150 on Interstate 80 near Clipper Gap. Authorities said a tractor-trailer struck the center divider, causing its trailer to detach and crash into Fiscus’s vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver fled and remains at large. The investigation is ongoing. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
