Tragic accident that occurred on August 6 in Ashe, North Carolina. 55-year-old Stephanie Schneggenburger was killed in a head-on crash on U.S. Route 221 when a GMC Canyon crossed the center line and hit a 2022 Honda CRV head-on. Authorities say it was raining heavily at the time of the collision.Troopers say the GMC driver was arrested and charged with two counts of misdemeanor death by vehicle and failure to maintain lane control.
