55-Year-Old Matthew Foster Killed In Alton, IL Accident

Motorcycle wreck on Fosterburg Road

Tragic accident that occurred on Monday, July 26 at around 6:25 AM in Alton, Illinois. 55-year-old Matthew Foster was tragically killed when his motorcycle was struck by a motor vehicle attempting to pass another vehicle on Fosterburg Road. A Pontiac was attempting to pass a vehicle when it crossed in front of Foster’s motorcycle, colliding with him head on. The victim was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The 19-year-old driver of the vehicle was cited for failure to reduce speed, improper passing, not wearing a seatbelt, and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
