Tragic accident that occurred on May 29th in Bakersfield, California. 55-year-old James Earl Posey Jr. lost his life when he was struck by a motorist at New Stine and Belle Terrace. He was rushed to an area hospital where he later succumbed to injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to cooperate with officers. The crash remains under investigation by BPD. We  send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
