53-Year-Old Larry Phillips Killed In Fortuna, CA Accident

Speed believed to be a contributing factor

Tragic accident that occurred on April 20th in Fortuna, California. 53-year-old Larry Phillips was tragically killed in a single-vehicle wreck at Hacienda Avenue and Maui Way. Phillips was a passenger in a Cadillac Escalade when the driver, a 55-year-old woman, lost control of the Escalade, ran off the roadway, and crashed into a light pole. Phillips was ejected upon impact, and taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. At this time, it is believed that excessive speed contributed to the collision.  We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
