53-Year-Old Monica Pedroza Killed in National City, CA Accident

Jeep Liberty submerged in Sweetwater River after collision with suspected DUI driver on SR-54 to I-5

A tragic accident occurred on March 29 in National City, California, when 53-year-old Monica Pedroza was killed after her Jeep Liberty was rear-ended by a suspected drunk driver on State Route 54 to southbound Interstate 5. She was pulled from the vehicle but pronounced dead shortly after. One of the other victim, Ignacio Pedroza, also died in the crash. Authorities continue investigating.
