52-Year-Old Monica Ibarra Killed in San Jose, CA Accident

E-scooter rider struck near SAP Center

A tragic accident occurred on September 8 in San Jose, California, when 52-year-old Monica Ibarra was fatally struck while riding an electric scooter. The collision happened around 8 a.m. at Santa Clara and Cahill streets, near the SAP Center, when a 2021 black Ram pickup hit her in a crosswalk. Ibarra was rushed to the hospital but later died. The driver fled the scene. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
