Motorcycle collision claims life of local man

A tragic accident occurred on November 25 in Hawthorne, California, when 52-year-old Matthew Carroll was fatally injured in a motorcycle crash. Carroll’s motorcycle collided with another vehicle near West 147th Street and Ocean Gate Avenue. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 1:27 p.m. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
