51-Year-Old Nancy Mortello Injured In Selden, NY AccidentMulti vehicle collision Posted: 2 years agoShare Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on LinkedIn Email This StoryTragic accident that occurred on March 31st in Selden, New York. 51-year-old Nancy Mortello was injured after being struck by a drunk driver. According to a police report, the crash occurred when a Chevy Tahoe hit a disabled Subaru Sedan on the shoulder, causing a chain reaction that caused the disabled car to strike a 2012 Jeep Wrangler. Mortello was pinned between both vehicles after exiting the Jeep to help with the disabled Subaru. The driver fled the scene but was apprehended by police a short time later. Mortello was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of her injuries. The driver was charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident with serious injury.
