A tragic accident occurred on January 7 in Cameron, Texas, when 51-year-old Nakita Kim Smith was killed in a bicycle crash on U.S. Route 190. Authorities said Smith was riding a bicycle when a westbound pickup truck struck her near County Road 215A. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
