51-Year-Old Michael Staats Killed In Miami Township, OH Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on July 15th in Miami Township, Ohio. 51-year-old Michael Staats lost his life when he was struck by a hit-and-run motorist while walking along Branch Hill Guinea Pike. Staats was fatally injured and sadly declared deceased at the scene.  The driver involved fled the scene and no information about their identity or the vehicle was initially known.  The OSHP continues to investigate the incident and urges anyone with information to contact them at 1-513-732-1510. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
