51-Year-Old Brandon Pierce Killed in Modesto, CA Accident

Struck by Train Near River Road

A tragic accident occurred on August 21 in south Modesto, California, when 51-year-old Brandon Pierce was struck and killed by a Union Pacific freight train. The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. near the south end of the railroad bridge off River Road, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff/Coroner’s Office. Pierce tragically died at the scene. Union Pacific Railroad Police is investigating. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
