The crash occurred when an unmanned truck rolled onto the track, causing the train to barrel into the vehicle. According to the government disaster relief center the truck did not have its emergency brake properly engaged causing it to slide 65 feet down a hillside. The train that carried more than 400 people derailed and 51 people were sadly killed. This is Taiwans deadliest rail disaster.
